Sarah Snyder
bizperc Manager/Meeting Planner
When people first meet Sarah, they might notice her smile or her professionalism, but they don't know what's coming. Sarah wins people over with her event creativity, strive for excellence and desire to be surrounded by visionaries and dreamers. As someone who lives by Gandhi's "be the change you wish to see in the world" quote, Sarah is moving and shaking any part of the world she can reach.
Sarah's fascination with event planning started when she was old enough to plan outings with her friends. The interest turned into volunteering positions, volunteering turned into internships, and the internships turned into a career. From dance planning committees in high school to working as sorority social chair in college, Sarah has always brought her talents to the table. In 2007, Sarah worked for the Brand Management microbusiness, Market Directions as a marketing intern. Sarah worked as an Event Assistant at planitOmaha, a successful event planning startup in 2008. After one year of participating on the planning committee, Sarah was the co-coordinator for the second-largest student-led conference in America, the 2008 Creighton Business Symposium, bringing in high-level business professionals such as Jayme Martin of Nike and Mary Pat McCarthy of KPMG. Additionally, Sarah spent two years as Brand Coach for Adidas in Nebraska.
Sarah excelled in many entrepreneurship classes in creativity and innovation, which sparked her passion to work with this driven, unique set of business people. After graduating Cum Laude from Creighton University in 2009 with a BSBA in Marketing, Sarah took her talents abroad to teach English in South Korea for one year.
Upon her return to Kansas City, Sarah collaborated with Tyler Prochnow, Think Big Partners' Co-Founder and Associate Partner and the two began discussing Think Big Kansas City and her interest in the premier conference. After further conversation, Sarah started her career with Think Big Partners. As the Director of Event Planning, Sarah helps coordinate the entrepreneurship conference and brings educational programs to both the bizperc tenants and the Kansas City business community. Using her creativity, she builds entertaining business events, valuable networking receptions and enlightening luncheons. Her goals include taking the Think Big Kansas City premier conference national and building the entrepreneurship community in Kansas City through education and networking.
In addition to Think Big Partners, Sarah is currently working a creatologist for Evenergy Events and Sponsorships, a Kansas City event planning company. Evenergy works behind the scenes on premier events such as the Plaza Lighting Ceremony, the Downtown Council Luncheon, the Plaza Art Fair, Waterfire, the Cornerstone Awards and the Urban Tour.
Sarah loves playing with her Korean kitty, Meeko, learning about wine, tasting good food, talking about herself, artistically scrapbooking and painting her nails different colors.
How Does Sarah Think Big? "I live in the moment while considering the future. The momentary allows me to enjoy life and take risks; the futuristic aims for success."
